The school is set up over an area of 100 acres. Offering high school education, the school has eight grades of education from fifth to twelfth standard. The total strength is about 700. All students are tribals (from undivided Koraput i.e. Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri & Nabarangpur). The school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.

Marking the 133rd anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic address at the World’s Parliament of Religions, Universal Brotherhood Day was observed with solemnity and reverence at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda, on 11th September, 2026. The programme started with offering of flowers to Swamiji followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Swami Gitatmanandaji, Secretary, warmly welcomed the gathering and shed light on the profound significance of the occasion.
To mark the 138th birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Teachers' Day was celebrated with solemnity on 5th September, 2026 at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama School, Hatamuniguda.
Under its Distress Relief Programme (Maternity and Child Welfare Services), Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda served 34 antenatal and postnatal mothers and 20 babies (up to the age of 3 years) on Wednesday, 2 September 2026.
