Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Educational Complex

Marking the 133rd anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic address at the World’s Parliament of Religions, Universal Brotherhood Day  was observed with solemnity and reverence at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda, on 11th September, 2026. 

The programme started with offering of flowers to Swamiji followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp.  Swami Gitatmanandaji, Secretary, warmly welcomed the gathering and shed light on the profound significance of the occasion. 

Sriman Bajrangi Gond’s evocative recitation of the historic Chicago Address brought alive the timeless message of the great monk. Sriman Aman Kandagori dwelt upon the pressing relevance of universal brotherhood in the contemporary world, while Shri Tathagata Mishra, highlighted the profound message that Swami Vivekananda carried from India to the West. Swami Prabhuvarananda ,  in his insightful address, dwelt at length on the essence of universal brotherhood.

 The Chief Guest, Prof. P. Arun Kumar, Head, Department of Political Science, Rayagada (Autonomous) College, delivered an enlightening address, bringing into focus Swami Vivekananda’s profound vision of universal brotherhood. 

The proceedings culminated in the screening of an inspiring documentary highlighting the life, ideals, and enduring legacy of Swami Vivekananda.
